Rotary Club of London-Lambeth

Southdale Chapliancy is one of the efforts that we support.  Their directors are pleased to announce that on January 28, 2013 the Boards of Directors of the Limberlost Chaplaincy and the Southdale Chaplaincy unanimously agreed to unify effective April 1, 2013.  At that time, the new organization will be called the London Community Chaplaincy.

The directors believe the benefits of the two chaplaincies coming together will be:

—     Better services and a broader range of services for community members and the wider community as planning will be done jointly and learning from each community would benefit the other

—     A more effective organization with strong governance, leadership, staff and volunteers

—     A cohesive organization better able to attract funding and other resources as well as incorporate best practices, reporting and accountability

—     Stronger bridges between congregations and the unified chaplaincy and the communities that are served

—     An increased public profile and perspective better able to speak with a unified voice about the issues that matter most to members of both communities

The directors are thrilled by the possibilities of what this will mean and the opportunities moving forward will provide.   The focus to serve those most in need is a value that both Chaplaincies share and united we know that we will serve more effectively.

The directors are grateful to our numerous supporters and count on your continued prayer and support as we begin this new phase of our journey together!
